The Florida Department of Health in Osceola County provides COVID-19 booster vaccinations to individuals 5 years of age and older.  Those interested in scheduling a vaccination may call 407-343-2000.  Below are COVID-19 booster recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Novavax for those 5 years and older.

 

The CDC recommends the following for Pfizer-BioNTech:

Who should get a booster:

Everyone 5 years and older

When to get a booster:

For ages 5 years and older, at least 2 months after completing the primary COVID-19 vaccination series.


Which booster should you get?

Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna are preferred in most situations. Children aged 5 years can only get a Pfizer-BioNTech booster, and children aged 6–11 years can get a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna booster.
