Florida Department of Health in Osceola County Supports Operation Best Foot Forward
Kissimmee, FL- Florida Department of Health in Osceola County partners with our community leaders to support Operation Best Foot Forward, which is a behavior change-based program designed to reduce injuries and fatalities.

“Be aware of pedestrians and make sure you yield for them at crosswalks,” said Bret Smith, Assistant Administrator of the Florida Department of Health in Osceola. “Stop for people at crosswalks or risk a $166 fine and 3 points on your license.”

Be safe:

  • Back to School, more vehicles are on road, children wait for school buses, and crossing roads

  • Tourist and new residents move to the region weekly and are new to area roadways and intersections

  • New opening of SunRail stations are drawing many commuters a day to high traffic areas
