What is WIC?
WIC is a nutrition program for:

  • Pregnant women
  • Breastfeeding women
  • Women who have been pregnant in the past 6 months
  • Infants
  • Children under age 5  

WIC provides the following to eligible participants at no cost:

  • Healthy foods
  • Nutrition education and counseling
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Referrals to health care, immunizations and community services

In Florida, approximately 500,000 participants are served by WIC each month.

Eligibility

  • You are eligible for WIC if you meet ALL of the following requirements:
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an infant, or a child up to 5 years of age
  • You are currently living in Florida, but you do not have to be a U.S. citizen
  • You have a nutrition risk that is determined by WIC staff
  • You are income eligible*

You may call our WIC appointment phone line to schedule an appointment – 407-343-2085.  Please tell the operator which site you would like your appointment for – there are three sites to serve you:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
