Osceola, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Osceola County (DOH-Osceola) is issuing a public alert following confirmation of rabies in a cat that was euthanized on January 10, 2026, in the St. Cloud area near Carolina Ave. DOH-Osceola is monitoring rabies among wild animals in the area. All residents and visitors should be aware that rabies is currently present in the wild animal population.
Special Medical Needs Program
The purpose of the program is to provide transportation and sheltering for Osceola County residents who have mental or physical limitations or disabilities and have no other option but to request public assistance for evacuation planning in the event of a disaster such as a hurricane.
